Dear Dr. Lansang,

It’s been an honor to meet such a person with so much intelligence and charisma.  You can say your one of my top role models because one day I also want to give something back to my community.  The day you told me that you did not want to be a Physician because of the business it requires, I was surprised but I learned a lot in those five seconds.  As you may realize, you are a major influence on our community even though sometimes it’s not seen but it’s like the heart of a community.  I give thanks to you for teaching me the skills in Chemistry and not only that but how important it is to be a leader the way you lead as an example.

Additionally, you have also emphasized even more to me the importance of critical reading and not skipping words you don’t understand.  That is why I now tell my nine year old sister not to ignore the words she does not understand.  It makes me feel more responsible by applying something I have learned and therefore motivating me to look up words more frequently.  That is a skill that can take you anywhere and you have given it to me.  I don’t know if you realize the major affect you have given me but now I tell you once more, thank you so much D-Lang!  Oh yeah and thanks for the pens!
